I heard that Olive Oil can't be cooked on high heated pan or the taste will change and Olive Oil is best served raw...is that true?

there are few type of olive oil in the market. Extra Virgin olive oil, Pure Olive Oil & Pomace Olive oil. pomace olive oils can therefore be used for high-heat frying, whereas regular olive oil is better suited for low- to medium-heat cooking, as well as for many uncooked foods such as salad dressings and MARINADES, we recommends using pure olive oil for frying, since the flavor of extra virgin olive oil tends to break down at frying temperatures, making the added expense a waste. Use Extra Virgin Olive Oil as a replacement for your butter. dip the breads in a litte extra virgin oil, the taste is heaven. just add in a crack of black pepper & balsamic vinegar. Extra virgin olive oil is very suitable for hard bread. give it a try. much healtier then butter or magerine
