Professionally known as Chef Yew, former Chef Association of Malaysia, Penang Chapter Promotions and Special Project Chef. Had being actively involved in organizing culinary events such as cooking demonstration for “The World Gourmand Professional Food Columnist”, various Penang State food promotions and also numerous culinary competition / exhibition such as China Food Festival and International Food Festival.
With vast experiences in Asian Cuisines from working in various hotels in Malaysia, on board cruises and RAAF Sports and Recreation Club, specializing in Penang Peranakan Cuisine. Have strong beliefs in preserving authenticity of our heritage cuisines, would promote the Penang Delicacies by educating and demonstrating the various dishes close to heart as being a Nyonya breed and born. Some of my signature dishes are Curry Kapitan, Classic Nyonya Sambal Goreng, varieties of Acar’s, Penang Assam Laksa...etc. just to name a few.
