Chef Johnno comes with more than 13 years of culinary experiences working in various 4-5 stars hotels and restaurants in Malaysia and China. Chef Johhno early years training in Chinese and Western cuisines enables him to devote himself into a specialize cuisine, Fusion Cuisine.
Being a Penang Chef, Chef Johnno was exposed to the melting pot of many major cuisines, cultures and specialties of the region e.g. Straits Cuisine (Peranakan), Thai, Malay, Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese, American and European influences. Arm with these generous knowledge and skill, Chef Johnno had served many dignities and royalties from Malaysia and abroad. He have served in many major event such as Royal Merdeka Dinner, Macau Art & Music Celebrate Dinner, Asian Festival, International Dell Annual Dinner, PACTMAX Art Award and many more with pride and self-confidence.
Chef Johnno quest for excellent had brought him numerous awards and medals in domestic and international competitions such as Culinaire Malaysia, Salon Gastronomique, MLA Black Box, Chaines D’Rottisiere Best Commis, Penang Chefs Challenge, International Food & Hotel Show (Bangkok, Thailand), Goung Dong US Beef Competition, 1st Asia Culinary Cup (Bangkok, Thailand). Besides winning Gold, Silver and Bronze medals, Chef Johnno also won the 2009 Best Asian Chef award and the Most Outstanding Chef of the Year 2007.
With his repertoire of culinary skills, Chef Johnno was being selected to perform numerous Food Promotions in Malaysia and abroad by our Association. His seeming high standard of culinary excellent with definitely brings great smile and satisfaction to all diners.
